Pir·quet von Ce·se·na·ti·co \pir-ˈkā-fən-chā-se-ˈnät-i-kō\ , Clemens Peter (1874–1929), Austrian physician. Pirquet is remembered for his fundamental work on tuberculosis and allergy. In 1907 he introduced a cutaneous reaction test for the diagnosis of tuberculosis that is now known as the Pirquet test.
